Key opinion leaders studies confirm previous market data

30 January 2009

Probe has recently completed third party key opinion leader studies in Europe and the USA. These have confirmed Probe's original data regarding the desirability of continuous or frequent measurement of blood glucose levels. These results confirmed that there was already significant use of protocols for frequent blood glucose monitoring and tight glycemic control in the USA. It also confirmed that in the USA, these measurements were still being taken manually and confirmed that clinicians would welcome any form of continuous sampling made the process easier. In Europe also, sampling is still a manual process, the key opinion leader study along with recent papers do demonstrate the desire by clinicians to be able to sample on a continuous basis and to measure this output at the patients bedside.
